Counselor Section

Counseling  Department Philosophy

The philosophy of the Counseling Department is that the program reaches every student. It is comprehensive, preventative and developmental in nature and that it is an integral part of a total educational program for student success. It is related to three components: academic, career, and personal/social development. Our school counselors are available to support students and parents. 

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (8:15 am - 3:45 pm) call GMS @ (575) 882-2372 .

On Wednesdays (8:15 am - 3:45 pm) the counselors may be reached  at the numbers listed under their picture.

Parent Teacher Student Association

Join your GMS PTSA!

The GMS PTSA is empowered, informed and responsible. 

Be Empowered…PTSA provides opportunities to network with parents, teachers, and school administrators and share your ideas.

Be Informed…gain up to date information and practical next steps about community and state issues affecting the education of all children.

Be Responsible…use your PTSA membership to be a part of the solution, influencing positive changes in your child’s education, health, and safety.

Your GMS PTSA sponsors parent workshops and student activities as well as provides sports equipment for all students for active play during recess.

We encourage you to join PTSA, become involved in your child's education as they transition to middle school.  We need you!
